Bandar Seri Begawan - Following the publication of our news item "Galfar Faces Bankruptcy" on December 25, 2009, we have been informed that the Oman-based shareholders of the troubled Brunei construction company, Galfar Pembinaan & Perusahaan (B) Sdn Bhd, have sold their shares and are no longer shareholders of the company.
Oman based legal firm, Hamad Al Sharji, Peter Mansour & Co says that their clients, Sheikh Salim Said Hamed Al Fannah Al Araimi, Dr Haji P Mohammed Ali and Legal Heirs of Late Mohamed Rashid Al Fannah Al Araimi have sold their shares "and have no longer been a shareholder in the said company".
"The transfer of the sold shares in the name of buyers was duly registered with the Registrar of Companies, Brunei," the lawyers said.
