France names Oman Air Air line of the Year

National carrier Oman Air won the 'Airline of the Year Award' at France’s Laurier d’Or du Voyage d’Affaires. A press release said that the Laurier d’Or du Voyage d’Affaires, hosted by IFTM-Top Resa in partnership with deplacements.com and Thalys, recognises the best in business travel products and services. Oman Air won the gold award in the ‘Airline of the Year’ category, ahead of Qatar Airways and Korean Airlines.

Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Two U.S. nationals held in Iran on charges of espionage and illegal entry into the country were freed from prison and left from Mehrabad International Airport in the Iranian capital on a flight to Oman, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

عندما كتبت مقالة بعنوان (عين على الديمقراطية والطيور المهاجرة) والتي امتدحت فيها الكفاءات العمانية في وسائل الإعلام الخارجية، كان للزميل عثمان بن عبدالله الزدجالي –وهو زميل قاريء ومتابع– كان له وجهة نظر حول برنامج "عين على الديمقراطية"، قائلا إن الديمقراطية التي أتت بها أمريكا هي الديمقراطية التي نشاهدها الآن في العراق وهي الديمقراطية نفسها التي يروج لها اليحيائي، وكان لعثمان ملاحظات عديدة حول البرنامج وقناة الحرة ومحمد اليحيائي وبالتأكيد حول السياسات الأمريكية.

Guyana on Wednesday announced that it has asked the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf to extend the South American nation's continental shelf in the hope of tapping into oil and gas reserves there.

Foreign Minister, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett said the submission made Tuesday seeks to add another 150 nautical miles from the 200 nautical mile outer limit of Guyana’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
